The Macchiagrande WWF Oasis, close to Fregene, open all year round to visitors, is the heart of Roman Coastal State Nature Reserve, one of the most significant sites for the protection and preservation of the typical nature of coastline. The reserve is crossed by three nature trails for a total length of about 7 km, which allows to appreciate the many environments such as the area of forest, meadow, dune, wetland. Message boards and information panels in furtherance of knowledge on plants and animals are at disposal.
Along the trails there are also sheds and lookout points. The trails are completely in plan and do not show any difficulty. In the oasis can also be arranged themed tours for groups and schools.
